FELLOW ARTISTS AND A FEW FILKERS............................................................
Juliana + Douglas McCorison http://pondsidemusic.com/ great people, filkers =) They have an awesome place in Canada where they have musicians put on concerts and people can rent a sleep spot for the night. They also have an art gallery. Juliana and Douglas have bought quite a few works of mine and inspired me to continue with my art in my earliest days when I was unsure of my path....
Alan M Clark http://www.alanmclark.com the site of his art and publishing company, IFD Publishing, a great artist with a really interesting attitude about life and art.... works of horror and the totally creative twisted bazaar... he even had a piece where I was actually shocked into saying "oh my god I can't believe he did that!" =) At Orycon 29 he explained the piece to me..... wow it was pretty crazy..... I would have never thought that that was what it was about....... maybe next time I'll talk with him about the happier horror pieces =) Oh and he gave me some great tips on working with color.
John R. Gray IIIhttp://www.asfa-art.org/admin/artist.php?id=54 Great and compassionate guy... fellow artist/illustrator. Awhile after meeting him at a convention, I ended up talking with a buyer and found out that he and I both have works bought for and displayed in the "PondSide Gallery" in Canada. He works mostly in Acrylic and is currently working as a luthier, building custom autoharps. You'll find him hanging in the artist and the filking crowd.... =) I will update when his new website is up and running.....
Mark Ferrariwww.markferrari.com Also a great and compassionate guy, fellow artist/illustrator and a Writer. Shaun and I have a signed book from Mark where Mark actually went out of his way to get Shaun the last copy of "The Book of Joby" at the con seeing all the other books had sold out while there. Gave me tips on using Bristol Board seeing he loves berol prisma color as much if not more so than I. There was one of his works where I told Shaun that it has to be computer.... then we noticed it said medium... berol prisma color.... that was in the earlier days before I met him.
